To make SimPyLC run directly on native OSX / Apple (so without emulation of a different OS) - Install miniconda for Python 3.6 from conda.io/miniconda.html(you may need to chmod 777 the installation script and start it manually) - In a console window type: conda install pyopengl- In a console window type: brew install freeglut- Install XQuartz from www.xquartz.org/- Install SimPyLC (python -m pip install SimPyLC) and, for convenience, also get the zip file from github.com/QQuick/SimPyLC/tree/master/SimPyLCand unpack it somewhere in your user dir to be able to easily find and edit the examples. - Go to the simulations/oneArmedRobot example and start it with python world.pyIf you get the report no matching pixelformats found, at a command prompt type: export LIBGL_ALLOW_SOFTWARE=1Once again start python world.pyAdjust window sizes to show all controls.

Thanks Jacques for this tip for us Mac-users. The trick actually is to install the freeglut library using Homebrew, instead of using the default GLUT that comes with PyOpenGL. Installing miniconda is not necessary; you can use pip to install PyOpenGL.
